The Portes Du Soleil Mountain Bike Area

Lift Passes

If you're staying with More Mountain for your mountain bike holiday, we can arrange discounted lift passes for you and have them waiting in your accommodation so you can start exploring straight away!

Trail Maps

Our blog Mountain Biking in Morzine is a great introduction to the area.

Where To Wash Your Bike

It's inevitable that you'll need to wash your bike at some point during your holiday. Luckily there are a few bike washes around Morzine, Avoriaz and Les Gets so you can give it a quick hose down.

Pleney Bike Wash

There are two bike washes at the bottom of Pleney, opposite The Tremplin. You get one free bike wash a day with your lift pass - just scan it to start.

Be aware that only one of the bike washes is set up for use with the lift pass! The other bike wash costs 2€ (coins only) but might be worth it depending on the queue for the free bike wash!!

Avoriaz / Super Morzine Bike Wash

On the left at the top of the Super Morzine Telecabine you'll find two free bike washes that can be used without a lift pass. Queues at the end of the day can be quite long, especially with everyone waiting to get the lift back down. You could always finish your day a little earlier (or later) to avoid this, and then roll down the road back into Morzine...

In Avoriaz town centre there's a WinterSteiger bike wash station that's free to use, and open daily until 8pm. Evolution 2, Avoriaz Sports, and MCF Avoriaz Bike Centre all also offer bike washing services. You can find the locations of these here

You'll find another bike wash in the Lindarets Bowl which is also free to use.

Les Gets Bike Wash

There are two bike washes in Les Gets, one at the bottom of the main Chavannes lift, and one at the bottom of the Mt Chery bubble.

Mountain Bike Hire

There are many mountain bike hire shops in Morzine town where you can hire a wide range of mountain bikes from downhill rigs to children’s bikes. Our staff will be able to advise you which hire shops to visit depending on your needs.

For guests looking to hire a top specification and well maintained downhill and enduro bike we recommend Torico Performance Bike Shop. Their hire service is very popular so it’s worth booking ahead through their website.

We also recommend Antony and family at Pleney Sports - he has a great selection of rental bikes available.

For families we recommend checking out bike hire at Intersport Morzine and The Bike Academy in Les Gets. They provide great rental and lesson options for all levels so you can book into a group class or book a private lesson and hit the trails as a family!

Mountain Bike Lessons

For beginners or family groups we suggest that you book a mountain bike guide or instructor who will be able to take you onto the trails most suited to your abilities, and teach you the essential skills necessary to progress your riding.

Ride Ability are our recommended mountain bike coaching and guiding company.

Mountain Bike Friendly Apartments

If you're bringing your own bikes to Morzine then you want to know they are securely stored at the end of the day. A number of our properties have secure garages or bike storage for your peace of mind when you have finished hitting the trails.

All our self-catered apartments also come with laundry facilities so you can wash your kit mid-week if needed!
